This is beautiful and wonderful!! Happy Birthday!!
I love this Suzanne!!
"Happy Birthday Pops!" It's nice to remember your dad like this. I lost my dad in June of 1976 and my mom in July 2010. It's hard to lose the ones you love but it is a part of life.
I absolutely love this Suzanne!!!!
Thanks for posting this Suzanne!
Love this Suzanne!
Excellent live performance
Flashback 69
I am part of the generation that discovered these guys during Nick at Night (in the 90s as a kid). I have since then become a HUGE fan of these guys. I recently recorded a cover of you just may be the one (it's on my channel if you care to hear)! So cool to see all four of them holding it down by themselves Headquarters style!
So great to see this!!! I was in grade school age 9 when this was on! Very cool!!!!
This show was the best! The theme song kicks ass, too.
Monkee Business! Wow where did this relic come from. I had completely forgotten about this show.
Now only Mike and Micky left.
Wondering what the next generation will be listening to in 50 years..... Justin Bieber? ????.... sad
Fame is crazy!!
Is that Shelly Long at 10:22?
Yo crecí escuchando está música de The Monkees por mi hermana mayor en ese tiempo adolecentes 😍❤💕
I WAS THERE!! YOU CAN OCCASIONALLY SEE ME TAKING PICTURES IN THE PIT IN FRONT OF THE STAGE...WHAT A PRIVILEGE IT WAS!!
Suzanne, Thank you for posting this wonderful video of the Monkees UK 1997 “Just Us” reunion tour. It’s a shame they didn’t make it to the USA that year. With David and Peter’s passing that won’t happen again, which makes this film an important moment in their history. The next step is to get them into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame, where they deserve to be. This performance documents just how good they really were (and are).
Wonderful to see this. I was at the Belfast show. Sadly now two gone but was just brilliant to see this
Best move they made, learning to play their own instruments. R.I.P Davy and Peter.
All 4 of them together.. a rarity. Davy Jones (RIP)
Peter Tork (RIP)
They kept coming back! And back!
Amazing. I didn't realize they all played so much of this tour with just the four of them onstage! Then the middle bit with Nez playing RIO!!! So much more of this is absolutely fab also!!!!!!!
Peter is a capable multi-instrumentalist. Nice performance.
Good-by Peter Tork. I hope you and Davy Jones are happy in Heaven. We will always love you guys. You gave us much happiness and laughs over the years. All good things must come to an end and we all are getting older. Thanks for good memories.
RIP Peter Tork !
Ironically, Mark Lindsay would score his only post-raiders hit "Arizona " at the same time.
They weren't the same when they stopped dressing in colonial outfits
The Raiders would score their last hit a couple of years later with "Indian Reservation /Cherokee People "
The "American Idol " of the '60s?✌
Sweet beautiful Peter rest in paradise
RIP Peter
@ 25:10 Get it Mickey . I love it !!!! :D
White Rain, the hairspray that held just like varnish! The Unpredictables were more like Up with People.
Davy was a gentle man and a very sweet kind loving guy ill love Davy forver
About didn’t film us in color that would’ve been really cool 35 mm stock film
WHAT,S THE NAME,S OF THOSE SONGS THEY WERE SIGNING ON THERE TOUR
I think this show was on Saturday. My boy cousins and I loved watching this show together. We thought it was so cool and groovy. Far-out, Man!!
It is so wonderful that Davy Jones and Paul Revere can live on through the internet! Pretty cool, huh? I am so glad that I got to see Paul Revere, Mark Lindsey, and the The Monkees in concerts over the years. They all embraced their inner child. Paul was as crazy as Davy, and alot of fun to watch. They certainly entertained me and my friends. I hope Davy and Paul are entertaining God now. Loved you two and I miss you both. From Diane in Indiana
Gosh, i miss the '60s. Hey, I have an idea. Let's go back!
Mickey actually is not a half bad drummer. I don't understand his set up at all though. Left foot, right handed tom array and ...I just don't get it. Sounds great though!
They need to air this on MTV Music Television
I am most impressed by Peter on bass. He didn''t play bass on Headquarters with exception of "you may just be the one" He has said he didn't like playing bass. INHO, Chip Douglas was awesome so it made sense for him to play on Headquarters. I give Peter credit for being a team player and playing bass for this project and I think he sounds pretty good,. I was also surprised by some of Mike's lead guitar work. Mike has mentioned in interviews that he realized he isn't a great guitarist, but just like Peter on bass, I think Mike sounds pretty good on his lead guitar bits. BTW, I always liked Mike's Monkees songs as much or more than any of those provided by Don K's team. And I will always say Peter's keyboard solo on "The Girl I knew Somewhere" is as good as anything that the wrecking crew came up with. I will always love the Monkees. All things considered, when you hear them playing "Sunny Girlfriend" in this concert, I really think you can say you would not have expected 4 guys picked to play a fake band for a TV show would sound that good playing an original song all by themselves. Same is true for "Mary Mary." Of course, it is also great to see Davy playing guitar on a song he co-wrote. Lastly, Micky really grew into being a decent drummer over the years . Apparently, he kept on practicing after Headquarters. On latter Monkees recordings made after Headquarters, Micky focused on his vocals and let studio drummers play instead. Chip Douglas has spoken about the difficulties he experienced trying to record Micky at the time Headquarters was being recorded. Micky was relatively new on drums at that time. They used Chip's Bass work to cover up Micky's unsteady drumming. But now you can hear Micky is perfectly fine as a drummer and can sing while playing, not every drummer can do that. Chip Douglas has commented on how much better Micky became over the years and you can hear it in this concert. I give him credit for gaining that skill over the years when his primary income had nothing to do with learning to be a good drummer Go Micky!!!!!!
I still play this album! This should’ve been the album released during their 1986 revival and not that Pool It! Great mini concert!!
thanks for sharing love the monkees
love the monkees each on was great in there own way but together they brougth millon and millon fan happy and love my grand kids enjoy they today they keep making fan young and old
Cybil Sheppard was the CoverGirl.
Oh wow. Imagine seeing this show and seeing Mike doing some of his solo work as well?! Man I wished I had seen this. I definitely could have. Now I'm so bummed...
Meanwhile Iggy Pop and the Stooges were burning down theaters.
